2. What is Personal Information?

Under PIPA, "personal information" is defined as information about an identifiable individual . This includes, but is not limited to, names, home addresses, home phone numbers, identification numbers, and other details that can identify a person . Business contact information (e.g., a person's work email and title) is generally not considered "personal information" under PIPA .

3. Consent

We will obtain your consent before collecting, using, or disclosing your personal information, except where the law permits us to do so without consent . By providing your personal information to us, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure in accordance with this policy.

  • Methods of Consent: Consent may be express (e.g., checking a box on a form) or implied. For example, if you voluntarily provide your name and phone number to receive a service or a quote, we consider that you have impliedly consented to us using that information for that purpose .

  • Withdrawing Consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time by providing reasonable notice to our Privacy Officer . Please note that withdrawing your consent may prevent us from providing you with certain products or services that require the collection of your personal information .

4. Collection of Personal Information

We limit our collection of personal information to what is necessary for the purposes we have identified . We collect personal information directly from you, unless otherwise permitted by law .

Types of Information We Collect and Purposes:

  • Contact Information (e.g., Name, Email, Phone Number): Collected to respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, process orders or requests, and to communicate with you about your account or our services.

  • Account Information: Collected to create and manage your user account, and to administer your participation in any programs or services you have signed up for .

  • Information You Voluntarily Provide: We may collect additional personal information that you provide to us when you participate in surveys, contests, or promotions, or when you submit content to our website .

  • Technical Information: We may collect non-identifying information like your IP address and browser type to understand how visitors use our website and to improve our services . We may use cookies for similar purposes; your browser can be configured to manage or refuse these files.

5. Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

We will use and disclose your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless we have obtained your consent to do otherwise or as required or authorized by law .

Primary Uses: We use your information to:

  • Provide and manage the services and products you have requested.

  • Process transactions, confirm orders, and send related information.

  • Communicate with you, including to respond to your comments and questions.

  • Improve our website and services.

Disclosure: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties without your consent . We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., payment processing, hosting). We contractually require these providers to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information and to comply with PIPA . We may also disclose your personal information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or a legal obligation .

6. Security and Safeguards

We are committed to protecting the personal information you entrust to us. We have implemented physical, organizational, and technological security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks . These safeguards include, but are not limited to, password-protected databases and secure servers for processing personal data .

7. Retention and Disposal

We will retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to satisfy any legal or business requirements . For example, we are required by PIPA to retain personal information used to make a decision that affects you for at least one year after that decision is made . Once the information is no longer needed, it will be securely destroyed or anonymized .

8. Individual Rights: Access and Correction

Under PIPA, you have the right to request access to your personal information that is under our control. You also have the right to request that we correct any errors or omissions in that information .

To make a request for access or correction:

  1. Submit a Written Request: You must submit your request in writing to our Privacy Officer (contact information above) .

  2. Provide Identification: We may request specific identification to verify your identity before processing your request .

  3. Our Response: We will respond to your request within 30 business days, as required by PIPA . If a fee is required to process your request (e.g., for copies), we will provide you with an estimate in advance .

9. Complaints and Recourse

If you have a concern or complaint about our privacy practices, we encourage you to contact our Privacy Officer first. We will investigate and respond to your concern within 30 days .
